This week (on December 7th and 8th 2009), one of the most famous restaurant in Paris will auctioned 18000 bottles of wine and fine liquors. La Tour D’argent opened in 1582 and is famous for its 450 000 bottles cellar sprawling in one of the most famous piece of underground Paris.
La Tour D’Argent wine list is a thick 400 pages piece of history.
Include in the auction is a 1788 bottle of Cognac (estimated at 3700-4500$) and a bottle of Corton, a vintage 1895 red Burgundy (estimated at 1500$). Also in the auction , many Pétrus, château Latour and Cheval Blanc.
